meet my favorite monster...

I told you, I LOVE black and white design.

The first two images are monsters created on handmade paper in a college printmaking class. (One of my favorite classes ever!) I remember the teacher saying "they are so ugly, but I love them!". I think I know exactly what he meant.  The last, are a series of cards I am making for my one day up and running store, www.paperpolkadots.com.  soon. very soon.

last night i woke to the loudest thunder i have ever heard! i sat straight up and thought "oh my goodness, the world is ending!" than i went back to sleep! isn't that hilarious?

than, i dreamnt that it had snowed when i awoke. i thought nothing of it except for being really pretty, but than i realized how weird it is that it just snowed in here.

i have been living a pretty monotonous life lately. the weather has started to finally get cooler. it has been beautiful out, and this weekend was packed full of fun which all leads to inspiration and happiness! i have decided to follow through on this blog AND my daily goal of finding inspiration (which i have really neglected! ;) so, i had a few minutes to myself. i took off my uncomfortable bra and started to work on my halloween costume (i'm being a crazy woman). the cats hung out. we listened to music. the breeze came in. it was great. in the middle of the picture you can see Zues's tail walking away...he just woke up and needed food!

weekend dreams!

i have been so busy and exhausted dealing with 5 year olds, that i can only dream of this weekend.  i have decided to be unsocial this weekend, and just work work work on all my current projects. 2 more days and counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this blog's goal is to find daily inspiration. do you realize how hard that is? anyways, the rules of the daily inspiration blog are as follows:
1. no cheating...i have to find inspiration THAT DAY and record it.
that's it. simple huh? try it! well, i won't be hard on myself if i don't make my goal, BUT i will at least try! ;)

a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

i learned from www.loosetooth.com to take a whim day now and than. a day of doing whatever you want guilt free. so, this being my burth day and all, i wanted to make a dress. um....i swear i think i know what i'm doing?  my first lesson learned was to look at the measurments to pick out pattern size (not just look at the size). duh! i had chosen the wrong size and had to go back and exchange it! whopsi! i told pk that i was going to make a dress today. he laughed and said "why not 5 dresses?" well, i got everything cut out. and took a break. what's the rush? and it's my whim day. but, i think i might rusume any minute! i can't wait to see what it will look like AND if i can actually do it! ;)
